Spiritual Cleansing Limpia for the Full Moon in Taurus
Ingredients:
Herbs: gingko, rosemary, and ginger
Flowers: chamomile, lavender, or roses
Crystals: obsidian, black tourmaline, pyrite, amethyst
Essential Oils: jasmine, rose, ylang ylang
Candle Color: red, yellow, or green
Take special care to prep your space. Physically clean it with warm water, a few splashes of Florida Water, and a splash of Rue Water, including the doors, windows, and floors. You can do this the same day as your full moon ritual or a day or two before.
Once your space is physically cleaned, it’s time to spiritually cleanse it. Begin by burning some Sage and allowing the smoke to gently dance around as it rids your space of negative, stagnant energy. Follow it with Palo santo, and thank the sacred herb and tree for their healing properties.
Next, bring a big pot of water to a gentle boil. As the water is heating up, you can begin adding your ingredients.
Start with a few handfuls of herbs. You can massage the herbs beforehand if you wish. This will help to release the natural oils in the herbs.
Next, add several drops of essential oils and a few splashes of Florida Water. Mix in with a wooden spoon as you speak your intentions into the water.
Add one cup of Sea salt and Pink Himalayan salt and mix in with a wooden spoon until fully dissolved.
Lower the heat to a very low simmer for about 10 minutes. Then drain and allow the limpia water to cool to a desired, safe temperature.
Cover the top of your limpia with flower petals and save some of the flowers for your Taurus Full Moon altar.
Find a good spot for your altar. When you do, place the candle, crystals, a vase with flowers, and anything else you’d like to add to your altar. Light the candle as a symbol that your intentions have been received and magic is underway.
Take your limpia bowl to the shower and when you’re ready, gently pour it over your body. As it rolls down your skin, imagine it clearing and cleansing anything that is holding you back.
Afterwards, air dry or dry with a light-colored towel. You can now journal, dance, sing, pray, make love, or whatever you feel called to do.
